Is your child having trouble with reading, writing, or spelling? We can help.
The Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation Learning Centre for Calgary offers, one-on-one tutoring for children with dyslexia at no cost to the family. We use the scientifically proven components of the Orton-Gillingham approach to help children learn step-by-step.
Who can apply?
Your child may be able to join our program if they:
- Are under the age of 18
- Have been diagnosed with dyslexia
- Have a psycho-educational report showing average ability
- Can come to the centre twice a week after school
- Have support from a parent or caregiver
- Are deemed by the Centre Director to be a good candidate for the Centre’s program using the Orton Gillingham approach
Application process
Getting started is simple:

- We’ll review your application and inform you of your child’s eligibility for our program.
