Charity Golf Tournament Supporting Dyslexia Tutoring in Calgary
The Scottish Rite Learning Centre for Children invites golfers, families, and community supporters to our annual charity golf tournament at Muirfield Lakes Golf Course in Lyalta, Alberta. This is a fun, social 9-hole scramble open to all skill levels — and every registration directly funds free one-on-one dyslexia tutoring for children in Calgary.
The Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation Learning Centre for Calgary provides free literacy tutoring to children with dyslexia using the proven Orton-Gillingham approach. Your participation at this tournament helps make that possible. Your help is much appreciated.

When and where is the 2026 Scottish Rite Charity Golf Tournament?
The tournament takes place on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Muirfield Lakes Golf Course, 612 Muirfield Crescent, Lyalta, Alberta. Registration opens at 3:15 p.m. and tee times begin at 4:00 p.m.
What is included in the $95 golf registration?
The $95 per-person fee includes 9 holes of golf, a golf cart, tournament prizes, dinner (burger, fries and trimmings), one drink ticket, and a complimentary attendance medal.
Can I attend just the dinner without golfing?
Yes — dinner-only attendance is available for $35 per person. This includes the meal, one drink ticket, and attendance at the evening prize presentation, 50/50 draw and raffle draws.
What is the payment deadline, and how do I pay?
All payments must be received by August 12, 2026 — no exceptions. Pay by cash, cheque, or e-Transfer to tsrlccalgary@outlook.com, made out to J.R. Beauregard, Treasurer.
Where do the proceeds from the golf tournament go?
All proceeds support the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation Calgary Learning Centre, which provides free one-on-one tutoring to children with dyslexia in Calgary, Alberta.
Do I need to be an experienced golfer to participate?
Not at all. The tournament uses a scramble format and is open to all skill levels. The focus is on fun, fellowship, and supporting a great cause.
